Wolf is a personal assistant you text. It is made by Moriah Labs ("we", "us"). This policy covers Wolf, moriahlabs.com and app.moriahlabs.com. It says what we collect, why, who else handles it, how long we keep it and how you delete it. The short version: your information is used only to help you, it is walled off from everyone else's, we never sell it or use it for ads, and it is never used to train AI models.
What we collect
When you sign up
- Your first and last name, email address and mobile number.
- An invite, household, group, referral or plan link, if you came from one.
- Your phone's time zone, read from your browser, so reminders arrive at the right time.
When you use Wolf
- Your messages with Wolf and Wolf's replies, so it can help you and remember what you asked it to.
- What Wolf learns about you to be useful: preferences, people and places you mention, the way you like to talk. You can ask what it knows, correct it, or have it forget anything.
- If you send a photo or file, Wolf can't open it yet and doesn't keep it.
Only if you choose to connect them
- Google (Gmail, Google Calendar): email you ask Wolf to search or read, drafts you ask it to write, and calendar events. See "Google user data" below.
- Outlook (email and calendar), through Microsoft's own sign-in.
- iCloud calendar, through an app-specific password that Apple issues for this purpose only. It can't sign in to your Apple account, and you can revoke it anytime at appleid.apple.com.
- Notion: only the pages you choose to share with Wolf.
- Canvas: your Canvas calendar feed link. It is kept private on our server and never shown to anyone, Wolf included. Wolf sees only the due dates from it, never grades or messages.
Connections are made through each company's own sign-in screen wherever one exists. We never ask for, accept or keep the password to your Google, Microsoft or Apple account.
When you use Wolf with other people
- Circle and groups: when someone in your circle or a group you joined looks for a time to meet, Wolf checks only whether you are free or busy. It never sees or shares what your events are. Every check is listed in your activity at app.moriahlabs.com.
- Shared rides: the pickup spot you give for a shared ride, used to work out the pickup order and shared only with the people on that ride.
- Households: your family group chat, under the rules in "Households" below.
Collected automatically
- A sign-in cookie for app.moriahlabs.com, which keeps you signed in. We use no advertising or tracking cookies and no analytics scripts.
- Account events shown in your activity list: sign-ins (with the kind of device, like "iPhone"), connections and disconnections, and free/busy checks.
- Basic service records: the time of each message, how long Wolf took to answer, and the last four digits of the number. These never include what you wrote.
How we use it
- To do what you ask: answer questions, read and draft email, manage your calendar, find times with people, plan rides, and send your morning brief.
- To keep your account working and secure: sign-in codes, preventing abuse, and finding and fixing problems.
- To tell you about your account: changes to your household, invitations, and important service notices.
We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not use your messages, email, calendar or anything else you share with Wolf to train AI models, and our AI provider doesn't either.
Google user data
If you connect Google, Wolf can search and read your Gmail, write drafts, send email you approve, and read and add events in Google Calendar. Wolf only reads your email or calendar when you ask it to, or to write the morning brief you turned on. It never sends an email without your yes to that exact message, and never deletes your email or events. Wolf asks Google only for permission to read your email, send email you approve, and use your calendar. Drafts Wolf writes for you stay on our server for at most a day until you approve them, and are deleted once sent.
- Wolf's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train AI or machine learning models, and we do not allow any third party to.
- We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it or transfer it to data brokers or anyone else.
- To answer your request, the relevant content (for example, the email you asked about) is sent to our AI model provider, Anthropic, which processes it only to produce Wolf's reply and does not use it for training.
- No person at Moriah Labs reads your Google data, except with your permission to fix a problem you reported, when needed for security, or when required by law.
- You can disconnect Google anytime at app.moriahlabs.com (Access) or at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Disconnecting deletes the sign-in we stored. To also delete everything Wolf saved from your email, ask us (see "Deleting your information").
Households
A household lets your family's Wolves remember your family group chat. You join only by opening a family member's household link, signing in with your own number and tapping Accept. No one can add you.
- Wolf's number sits in the family group chat and never posts there.
- Nothing from a chat is kept unless everyone in it has joined.
- Each message can only be found by the people who were in that chat when it was sent.
- Nothing from your own conversations with Wolf, your email or your calendar is ever shared with your household.
- When someone writes "Wolf, ..." in the family chat, a separate family answerer replies to everyone in that chat. It can't see anyone's private information, can't send links, and keeps nothing afterwards.
- Card numbers, bank numbers and passwords are masked before anything is kept. Family chat messages are deleted after 90 days.
- Everyone in the household gets a text whenever someone joins, leaves, pauses saving, renames it or deletes its history.
- You can remove your own messages, pause saving, delete the household's history or leave at any time. Leaving removes what you wrote.
Who else handles it
A few companies process information for us, only to run Wolf and only under their own privacy and security commitments:
- Anthropic, the AI model that writes Wolf's replies. It doesn't train on what Wolf sends it.
- Sendblue, which carries Wolf's iMessages and texts, and your phone carrier.
- Twilio, which sends sign-in codes for app.moriahlabs.com.
- Google Cloud, where Wolf's server runs.
- Cloudflare, which serves our websites, protects them, and checks the sign-up form for bots.
- Look-up services Wolf uses to answer questions, which receive only what that look-up needs (like a place name or an address), never your name or number: maps, places and travel times (Google), weather (the U.S. National Weather Service) and flight status.
We share information with other people only when you ask Wolf to (for example, an email you approve or a time you agree to meet), with your household or groups as described above, or if required by law. If Moriah Labs is ever sold or merged, this policy will continue to apply to your information, and we will tell you before anything changes.
How long we keep it
- Your account information, conversations and what Wolf has learned: for as long as you use Wolf, until you ask us to delete them.
- Family chat messages: 90 days.
- Sign-in codes: 10 minutes. Sign-ins to app.moriahlabs.com: 30 days.
- Waitlist sign-ups that never join, and anyone who texts STOP and doesn't come back: deleted.
- Backups of our server can hold older copies for a limited time until they are overwritten.
Deleting your information
- Tap Delete everything at app.moriahlabs.com (Access). It permanently deletes your Wolf right away: your conversations, what it learned, every connected account and the sign-ins we stored, and removes you from every circle, group, household and shared plan.
- Or email [email protected], and a person will delete everything within 5 business days and confirm when it's done.
- You can disconnect any connected service yourself anytime at app.moriahlabs.com.
- You can also ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct it.
How we protect it
Every person gets their own walled-off Wolf, from their first text. Your Wolf can't see anyone else's information, and no one else's Wolf can see yours. Sign-ins to your accounts are stored encrypted, everything travels encrypted, and Wolf never keeps passwords, card numbers, bank numbers or Social Security numbers. More detail is on our security page.
No system is perfectly secure. The people who run Wolf can technically access its server, as with any service that handles your messages; we don't read your messages, email or family chats, and we limit that access to keeping Wolf running and safe. If your information is ever exposed, we will tell you promptly.
Wolf is an AI and can make mistakes. It asks before it sends a message to someone, books something or spends money, and you should check anything important before relying on it.
Texts from Wolf
Wolf texts you replies, your morning brief if you turn it on, and account notices, and app.moriahlabs.com texts you sign-in codes. Text STOP anytime to stop, and START to come back. Details are in our texting terms.
Age
Wolf is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe someone under 18 is using Wolf, tell us and we will delete their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how your information is used, we will text you before it takes effect.
